Do you shoot destination weddings?
Yes! I'm located in the heart of Gold Country in a town called Pollock Pines, California, and I'll travel to any gorgeous and natural Northern California location free of charge. For other destinations, just ask about any travel / accommodation fees that may apply.
Can I extend the time on the wedding day?
Yes; you can add time for $150 per hour, if you need more than 3 hours of elopement coverage, more than 5 hours of coverage for your small wedding, or if you need coverage all the way through a grand exit for your all-day wedding (grand exits are also often staged). I only shoot one wedding per day, so you can decide either before or after booking, or even on the day of.
Will there be a second shooter?
For most of the weddings I shoot, I find that one photographer is sufficient, unless the couple is getting ready many miles apart. But, if desired, we can add a second photographer for $250 for an intimate wedding, or for $500 for an all-day wedding. This is something you don't have to decide upon booking; we'll go over your timeline together during a planning session to determine your needs!
What kind of gear do you use?
I use two Canon 5D Mark III cameras. My lenses are a Canon 70-200mm/2.8L, Canon 100mm/2.8L macro, and Canon 24-70mm/2.8L. For video I have two Canon Rebel 6 cameras and a Tamron 35mm/1.8 Di VC; my 100 is also good for video close-ups. When needed, I use two Canon EX-RT 600 speedlites with MagMod, LED lights, reflectors, diffusers, a tripod, light stands, umbrellas, ring putty, a prism, a ladder, a step-stool, plenty of batteries and memory cards, and some other goodies. For adventure sessions and elopements, I travel light and don't cart everything around so I can be mobile for adventuring; but for all-day weddings, I do! really love my new cart. :)
Do you offer video?
Yes! As the founder and administrator of the Northern California Assistant Photographers and Videographers network, I work with many videographers whom we can add to your wedding package depending on their availability and your budget. Pricing and packages vary; after booking, if you'd like to add videography, I'll provide you with samples and quotes, ranging from $500 for basic video coverage to $2400 for cinematic wedding films. Or, we can discuss hybrid photo / video coverage, which is a new option gaining in popularity.
Do I have to order prints through you?
Ordering prints through your gallery supports my business, so I very much appreciate it when clients purchase prints through me! But, I also include a full print (and web) release free of charge. I pride myself on offering high quality services at affordable prices. Clients are welcome to print and share their images however and wherever they want at no extra charge.
Do you offer albums?
I no longer create albums myself due to the time it takes; I prefer the actual shooting, spending time with my clients, and providing amazing edited digital images as fast as possible. So, included with the print release is the ability for clients to create their own albums if desired. I recommend Blurb.com, which offers all types and sizes with bi-weekly promo codes for 30-40% off (at an average $40 to $100 total cost). If you don't want to create the album yourself, I can also hire a designer to create an album for you. Prices vary, so talk to me if you are interested in this option!
What is the turnaround time for photos?
Session images typically take 2 days to 2 weeks to process depending on the season, but I usually can't even wait that long and have been know to really annoy my fiance staying up util 3 am after a session editing 150 photos. :P
Wedding images typically take 2-4 weeks to process largely due to the culling required, but, during busy seasons, I do shoot between 1-3 weddings and between 1-3 sessions per week, and that can affect turnaround times. Contact me to inquire about the current season to get an idea of where things stand.
How far in advance can I book?
Weddings and adventure elopements can be booked up to 2 years in advance. Adventure sessions can be booked between 24 hours and 30 days in advance. Free consultations (in person at a local coffee shop or via Skype, Messenger Video, or FaceTime) can be booked between 24 hours and 1 week in advance.
Do you require a deposit?
Weddings and elopements require a non-refundable 25% deposit to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to the date. Sessions require the $300 session fee in full to be reserved. While all payments are non-refundable, sessions can be rescheduled if needed.

Yes. You can fill out your secure Adobe Sign contract online, sent to the primary client's email address provided upon booking.
